One of the largest consultancies operating in the South of England, currently employing over 200 permanent full-time staff have a vacancy for a Junior Marketing Manager.This company grew throughout the 1980’s as a surveying practice. As the company successfully traded through the second recession since its creation (without the need to reduce its workforce) it started to branch out into other service areas by both organic growth and acquisition.By 2002 the group of companies had grown to produce just under £7m turnover. In 2002 the complete Group received a re-structure and reformed as one company. Since this restructure my client has increased its turnover to just under £13m in 2007/2008.The company has a comprehensive 5 year business plan in place, with a goal of £25m turnover by 2012. This will be achieved by both organic growth and acquisition. Reporting to the Bid Manager, Your duties will be: Create and edit EoI and Fee Bid editorial content by producing strong, technical and original responses to allocated sections of submissions Edit technical teams’ ITT and PQQ responses to produce clear and uniformed copy is easy to read; is technically accurate; comprehensively provides the correct/requested information in the correct form/structure for the intended audience; Produce case studies and method statements as needed Liaise with departments and bid owners to formulate imaginative ideas Maintain a high level of market intelligence, legislative requirements and best practice in operational requirements relevant to bids such as communications, collaborative working, risk management etc. Project management of timely delivery of copy from colleagues Key skills and attributes Management Strong communicator and influencer, tailoring communication style to the target audience Highly skilled in editing and writing EoI and Fee Bids. Able to structure, edit/review and write technical and non technical content to answer EoI and Fee bid requests for information Technical knowledge of the construction industry (in pp surveying, architecture and structural engineering) to a level that enables the Bid Manager to accurately and competently assess and edit technical responses to EOI and Fee Bid requests for information Experienced team leader with strong people skills. Ability to organise, budget, control, motivate and develop a bid team to achieve desire results, quality levels and productivity Self motivated and self-starter. Displays a positive can-do attitude. Able to perform under pressure and to tight deadlines. Technical Written and Editorial ability Knowledge of property services or construction industries Proficiency in Microsoft office packages Graduate or A Levels or equivalent by experience. High Literacy and numeracy skills. 2-3 years in a similar role within property of construction Basic salary circa 35k | |
