Job details |
Climate change is no longer in question. It is with us, and its effects are very real – that’s why we’re investing a great deal of our time and resources in Flood and Coastal Risk Management. The South of England, with its centres of population situated on fluvial or tidal flood plains, has its own particular challenges, and we need to expand our Flood Risk Management team to meet them.
We deliver world-class flood defences and wetlands, manage flood plain development and raise awareness amongst people in flood risk areas. The range of projects we’re involved in is massive, as is the potential impact of our work on the future of everyone in the country. Join our Flood Risk Management teams, and you’ll have an unparalleled opportunity to put your engineering or environmental expertise to good use. We need the very best to provide the very best defences – because so much is at stake. You could be an experienced chartered engineer (MICE or MCIWEM) with excellent project management skills, or someone with a Coastal Management background, a graduate in civil or environmental engineering, environmental science or geography. Either way, you’ll have a passion for the environment and a strong customer focus. So let’s talk. Soon. For more information and to apply, please visit www.environment-agency.gov.uk/jobs quoting 13099. Alternatively, call 01925 542370. If you are a disabled applicant and meet the minimum criteria, we will guarantee you an interview. Closing date: Monday 10 March 2008. |
