This is a 6 month contract position potentially leading to a permanent role within a leading Engineering business based in Harwich Essex, your role will be to support the design of the companies products using 3D CAD systems. The role is paying up to £35,000 and is available for immediate start. Working within a team of 6 Engineers you will be responsible for the design of the company’s products from initial conception through to full manufacturing. You will be able to demonstrate excellent engineering awareness and be able to generate innovative and complex designs. You will work closely with the Electrical and Project Management teams to ensure the product reached clients on time and within budget. The company uses Solidworks, although any experience with 3D CAD systems such ProE, SolidEdge, Inventor would be acceptable, 3D Design experience is essential for the role. The company design products closely related to Special Purpose Machinery and experience within in this field would be an advantage however strong Design Engineers from other areas are welcome to apply and will be considered Ideally you will hold a HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering. There is a strongly likelihood this contract position will result in a permanent role for the successful candidate and this Design Engineering position is paying up to £35,000 plus Pension for the successful candidate. This Design Engineering role is based in Harwich, Essex and is commutable from Ipswich, Colchester and Felixstowe and other areas in Suffolk and Norfolk.
