About the College
West Kent College is situated in Tonbridge which is one of the most attractive areas in the South East Region, with excellent road and rail links. The main Campus is in Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells (North Farm).
The College employs over 650 teaching and support staff, its full time student numbers continue to rise and are currently approximately 2,500 with part time students well in excess of 12,000 at the last count. Recent years have seen the college improve its links with the local schools with around 400 pupils on Link Programmes.
The college has seen many exciting developments in recent years and is now gearing up for total redevelopment of its Brook Street site over the next 3 years.

Construction Crafts have recently been reintroduced and enrolments are high on both full and part time programmes. Other new courses include Public Services, Fashion and Textiles, Forensic Science and well as an expanding Sports Academy. The College is a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVe) for Health and Social Care in a continuing partnership with South Kent College and is one of the largest providers of work based training to Care Homes in the region.
The College is developing and expanding the Higher Education that it offers through partnership links with primarily the University of Greenwich. We now also have links in specific vocational areas with both the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church College.
West Kent College are an Action for Business College which reflects a priority to commitment to develop our employer engagement and workforce development provision.
